62 CSSRs In Dallas Choose CWA
On December 18th the CSSRs in Dallas voted in the CWA. They now join the Dispatch Technicians in Dallas and the Technical Unit in Arlington Texas as part of the CWA. Local 6150 President Larry Ihfe, Sharon Ratliff and Darryl Russel have been working with this unit for over 2 years. The inside committee was lead for the past two years by Jean Taylor and Nacy Phillips, along with others in this effort who never lost their determination.
Last week Broadband sent a national representative from their Denver Headquarters to address the CSSRs. CWA was represented by Will Rogers, a Dallas ATT Broadband Dispatch Technician who is working under his first CWA contract. The workers weighed their current work situation against the value of having a voice in the workplace and choose CWA.
