Adelphia To Spend Millions On New Office Space For Top Execs

Adelphia has asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York if they can spend $2.2 million so that the new CEO and his friends can continue to live in Denver. In papers filed with the bankruptcy judge, Adelphia seeks permission to enter into a long-term lease for 42,000 square feet of office space previously occupied by Comcast. Adelphia estimates that total one-time costs for the move would be about $2.2 million and the recurring costs would be $825,000 per year. Adelphia has said that the move would affect only about 150 workers and the majority of Adelphia headquarters personnel would stay in Coudersport, Pennsylvania.
